Here are a couple of designs that I worked on in my free time.

The first one is a packaging cover for Son Lux’s album “At War with Walls and Mazes”. I have had the album playing a lot lately and decided to create a design inspired by the sounds of the music and the imagery provided by the title.

I am going to be designing a cover for every book that I finish reading, so the second design is a cover for the Bret Easton Ellis book, the Rules of Attraction. The has a sort of detached and hazy quality to the way that is written. I tried to incorporate that into the illustration I did for the cover. The book starts and ends in mid-sentence. I like the way that is done, and thought I would include something similar in my cover design, by cutting off the beginning and end of the title’s typography.

Here is the new Cosmonodd website. I will be using this site to post updates to my design portfolio as well as sketches, illustrations, and general thoughts on various topics related to art and design.

There will be some continual updates over the next week or so and I am going to start a personal exercise where I design a cover for every book I finish reading. I am going to start with the Rules of Attraction (which I finished recently) and go from there.
